As a part of this class project I became acquainted with two websites that serve as great resources in the English classroom.

Blogger.com is a great tool for teachers that wish to incorporate blogging as a part of the curriculum.  Through some of the class discussions and readings it became clear to me that blogging can work if students are given specific instructions, topics, and peer groups in which students can support one another.  As I became accustomed to blogging on a weekly basis and reading other peer blogs, it became clear that blogging can go beyond summaries or analysis of the readings, this is also a great forum for the sharing of ideas, thoughts, lesson plans, and even moral support for peers with the same dilemmas in the classroom.

Prezi.com serves as an innovative tool for all types of presentations in the classroom.  The website offers an alternative to the standard power point presentations, and though it tales a bit of practice to learn how to navigate its many tools, Prezi is something worth learning.  By using both of these resources firsthand I got to work with and learn different techniques and ideas that I hope to one day incorporate into my classroom.
